How do you extend your lease?

To extend your lease you need to serve a notice of claim (called a section 42 notice) on your freeholder.

To do this you will need:

1. A valuation report – to provide you with the offer figure to put into the notice of claim;
2. A notice of claim (a ‘Section 42 notice’) – to serve on the freeholder.
